I mean, like, how could you NOT like this game?! It's awesome and action-packed! The graphics much better than the previous Tekken games (no offence).
Me- a Tekken junkie but only played Tekken 4 (the most), Tekken 5 (played at a friend's house) and Tekken 6: Dark Resurrection (at an arcade in the Philippines :D)Okay now, time to re-tell the main story (it took me TWO DAYS to read while putting it into my own words!!! I apologise if this story confuses you because I didn't bother to read back what I had type the day before). . .
Main storyline:
Heihachi had no luck in catching the Ogre, two years ago.Determined to capture the Ogre, Heihachi arranged his researchers to gather some leftovers that the Ogre had left behind to create a DNA experiment. Heihachi wanted to make a new living creature by combining the Ogre's DNA with his own. Unfortunately for him, the research experiment failed.
After many researching, Heihachi's data collectors discovered the Devil Gene. They have to combine the Ogre's gene with another living creature. Heihachi found out he couldn't use his gene but he knew someone else who could - Jin Kazama.
Jin defeated the Ogre in The King Of Iron Fist Tournament 3 but was later shot and was injured by his own grandfather, Heihachi. Jin was close to death but he slowly turned into Devil Jin. Jin flew away, no one had a clue where he was.
Heihachi failed to search for Jin. One of the clues he has found is a 20-year-old photo. Heihachi looked at it carefully and with interest. The photo is shown with a burnt body covered in open-skinned wounds. Heihachi looks more at the body's back and he spots distorted 'wings'.
Heihachi remembered that the corpse is his son, Kazuya Mishima, who he threw into a volcano. 20 years ago, Heihachi tested Kazuya to see if he's strong enough to be his son. Heihachi never loved Kazuya, he only wanted to him to be strong. So Heihachi adopted Lee Chaolan. Heihachi showed the same feelings to Lee as he did to Kazuya but he was slightly 'nicer'. It was only because he thought Lee was much stronger and tougher than Kazuya. And that Heihachi wants to prove Kazuya that Lee's a great role model to look up to, much stronger and powerful.
All the data that Heihachi collected from his research all lead to G Corporation- Like Mishima Zaibatsu. It was discovered that G Corp. found the corpse and examined its DNA. Heihachi learnt that G Corp. was start a new living life by using the research they have collected. The body is in fact, Kazuya Mishima. And Kazuya Mishima's remainders remained at G Corps. Nebraska and Nepal labs.
In Nepal, the Tekken Force stormed into G Corp.'s research lab on the 25th of December and they stole the data storage. At the same time, they also snuck in the underground research place located in Nebraska where the remains of Kazuya is stored. When Heihachi checked over from his helicopter, he noticed that the original plan is different. A monitor showed that the most Tekken Force troops were being blown out from the room where the remains of Kazuya is stored.
But then, a great figure escaped from the room. Heihachi looked closely at the figure and sure enough, it was Kazuya. Kazuya had revived from G Corp's data centre. Kazuya let G Corporation use his body as research information to see if the Devil lives in him. Kazuya wants to consolidate his good side and his bad side into one. Kazuya predicted, if he combined himself with the Devil, he would take advantage of the Devil's powers to take revenge on his own father, Heihachi Mishima and the Mishima Zaibatsu.
Kazuya had abandoned the Tekken Force and disappeared into the fire of the lab's destruction. Heihachi was furious when he heard about Kazuya's escape.
One of Heihachi's assistants recommended to Heihachi to find a way to search for Kazuya. Heihachi thought carefully and he slowly grinned villainously.
Two years later, they had announced The King Of Iron Fist Tournament 4. In order to be the champion of The Iron Fist Tournament 4, they must defeat Heihachi. The grand prize is that they take over the Mishima Zaibatsu.
The tournament was to make think Kazuya into enter and take revenge on Heihachi but it's a trap. But it's an opportunity that Kazuya should enter.
My Review
The Characters: I noticed that Tekken Four welcomes some characters - Christie Monteiro, Combot, Miharu Hirano, Steve Fox and Craig Marduk. I say Christie Monteiro developed her fighting style from Eddy Gordo but in a 'girly way'. Steve Fox is a boxer so I don't expect any kicks, just powerful punches and maybe the 'bob and weave'. Miharu Hirano just copied Ling Xiaoyu's moves. Craig Marduk's fighting style is 'Vale Tudo', never heard of it. Marduk looks more of a wrestler to me. And lastly, Combot, a copy of everyone's fighting styles. I usually use Ling Xiaoyu and then Miharu Hirano because I accidentally press circle on Ling Xiaoyu.Favourite Character: My all-time favourite character is Ling Xiaoyu. The first time I played this game was when I was 4-6 years old. This character just interested me in some way. And all this time, I have been using her a lot of the time. Her face is like the animation version of me which is cute. Her moves are easy to me and I'm kind of mastering Xiaoyu. Her move the 'Bayonet Thruster' is used commonly when I play Xiaoyu but I also like to use the 'Ruby' or any moves that throw the opponent to the ground with just using 2-3 buttons and cause major damage. I don't have a second favourite character but one of my other favourite characters are Jin Kazama (excuse me, but he's hot and cute), Marshall Law (for his strong and quick moves) and Yoshimitsu (for his sword xD)

Least Favourite Character: My least favourite character is either King or Craig Marduk. When I was little, I never had interest in playing them. The boy character I use the most is Jin Kazama. King's storyline is pretty confusing. Each 'King' that passes away, the 'next King' avenges their death. I don't understand why King has to have a mask every time. Well, yeah. And Craig Marduk is like heavy and slow. When using Ling Xiaoyu, I always defeat him so easily and mostly get 'Perfect'. The good thing about Craig is that he's Australian. I'm Australian :). Anyways, with Marduk, it's hard to control him. I beat every character's story mode except Marduk's. Okay, so when I play story mode on Marduk's, I may have beaten every sub boss I fight but I never pass Heihachi. It's too hard and surprisingly, the old man has strength and speed!
The Modes: I don't really like Time Attack because I get pressured with the amount of time as I'm already pressured with fighting. Story mode, it's alright, I don't mind playing it anytime. I love playing versus (or multiplayer) with my friends, dad or sister. It's really fun. Survival is hard and challenging. I play it when I have nothing else to do and then, I eventually give up because I can't survive like that. I like the practise. I get a chance to master Ling Xiaoyu more and get to know the names of her moves. Tekken Force- MY FAVOURITE. I love it so much! It's just so fun and my record to is going up to Kazuya's den, temple or whatever. It's really hard but also fun! But, I couldn't get passed level three (Kazuya's den/temple) because there were so many dark shadows and you couldn't see the people that are about to attack you. And also, with level three, there are so many high-armed people to fight you, it's hard to manage!
Likes: I love my character, Ling Xiaoyu. I also like Tekken Force. The graphics improved from the previous Tekken games which is impressing. Oops, forgot to mention the Theatre part. I like watching the epilogues and prologues of the character's storylines. You know, just chill out after the fighting you've done. And it's also fun to look back at the winning replays you've saved on your memory card. :)
Dislikes: I don't know, really. It seems like there are no dislikes. I won't really consider King and Marduk as 'a character I dislike', it's just that I don't really use them. (Sorry to the King and Marduk fans, I'm just expressing my opinions on them).
My Rating: I give the video game a 8.5 out of 10 stars.
